Awareness Campaign

NAR is hitting the airwaves for the 8th season
Branding the REALTOR® R and You as the First Point of Contact

The National Association of REALTORS® Public Awareness Campaign takes another important step forward. This year's campaign has added two important communications components.

REALTORS® everywhere are being challenged by non-real estate entities competing for homebuyers and sellers. This year's rendition of the Public Awareness Campaign meets the issue head on with real life buyers and sellers stating the importance of contacting a REALTOR® first, no matter what type of transaction: selling, buying for the first time or a commercial property transaction.

Importantly, this year's commercials also help potential homebuyers and sellers understand how they will know their agent is a REALTOR®, a member of the National Association of REALTORS®. They'll know by looking for the REALTOR® R on business cards, yard signs and when members are wearing their REALTOR® pin.

We're back in Prime Time & More

The REALTOR® message returns to prime time network television, the most powerful means of reaching potential homebuyers and sellers. Look for the campaign in such popular shows as West Wing, Law & Order, CSI Miami, Dateline, and more.

Also new to the 2005 schedule is a six-week sponsorship of PBS' Nightly Business Report, where NAR will underwrite the program nightly.

We'll also sponsor XM Satellite Radio's new Public Radio (Channel 133) and The Bob Edwards Show, featuring the award-winning journalist known as the “voice of public radio” and former host of NPR's Morning Edition.

2005 Hispanic Campaign: Coming to TV

In 2005, the National Association of REALTORS® will increase and strengthen its Hispanic marketing approach, focusing on the largest opportunity segment, the bi-lingual Hispanic household. For the first time, NAR will extend the Hispanic marketing efforts to television with a new :30 second commercial.

Stay Tuned...

All in all, the new Public Awareness Campaign differentiation television and radio messaging will be seen and heard for a full nine months, from February through October. And the Public Awareness Campaign includes new complimentary customizable materials that state and local REALTOR® associations can access on NAR's Online Ad Generator for use in their own markets.
