Educator of the Year

The Real Estate Educator of the Year award will presented in September during the MAR’s REALTOR® of the Year & Professional Awards Banquet. This award has been established to recognize REALTORS® who promote professionalism in the real estate industry through their personal involvement in numerous professional development activities.

The Real Estate Educator of the Year Award nomination process is modeled after the annual REALTOR® of the Year program. You have the opportunity to nominate one individual for this award. Your nominee will be evaluated against those nominated by other REALTORS, and then for the Massachusetts Educator of the Year award, to other local associations. One individual will be chosen as the state educator of the year, a process that will be performed by the MAR Education & Events Committee.

Candidates for the award will be evaluated in specific performance categories:

• Involvement in curriculum development
• Experience as an educator and author
• Demonstrated commitment to the role of an educator/course instructor (i.e. achievements).

Nominees need not be members of your own local association, but they must be members of the REALTOR® organization. Persons to consider for the award may include instructors for continuing education, pre-licensing and professional development courses; trainers for local real estate brokerages; chairpersons or members of the local association’s education committee; and members who have been active in providing professional development and career growth opportunities for agents and brokers or those who speak to community groups or at high school or college careers days to increase public awareness about real estate as a full-time profession.

Nominations for the Real Estate Educator of the Year Award must be submitted on the Educator Submission Application (microsoft word document) form by May 15th of each year.
